About Us
Mark and Lori LaRonde acquired ownership of "A Very Special Day” wedding services, formerly operated by Rev. Dorothy Lockyer, after working with Dorothy for some time. They serve Brides and Grooms throughout south-western Ontario, Waterloo Region, Halton Hills, Oakville, Milton, Burlington, Toronto area and Muskoka!Although approached to join other wedding ministers' service organizations, Mark and Lori decided they could serve couples more effectively as a smaller independent entity concentrating on quality not quantity.
They also felt that they would have more latitude in the services they offer and could provide a far more professional and presentable ceremony if they stayed independent.
By the testimonials of the couples they have married, who have expressed an overwhelming appreciation for this kind of personalized service, it has been a huge success!
Mark and Lori both perform customized wedding ceremonies for Christian and non-religious Brides and Grooms.
Mark is the Senior Pastor of Joshua Crossing Church in Oakville, Ontario. He is an ordained reverend and is licensed by the province of Ontario as a wedding officiant. Mark has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, and is completing his Master of Divinity degree at Heritage Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario.
Lori, is also an ordained reverend and licensed to perform weddings within the province of Ontario. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Education Degree from Brock University, as well as being a former Special Education Specialist with the Waterloo County Board of Education.
Together Mark & Lori have two young daughters. The family lives in Kitchener, Ontario, and enjoys their year round cottage in Muskoka on Lake Joseph.
